A made-to-measure radiator cover: Frequently Asked Questions

In some cases you can also conceal the pipes of the radiator with a Sentimo radiator cover. In most situations you can do this by including the pipes in your measurement of the length of the radiator. If this is not possible, you can use the break-out parts of the radiator cover (on the top and bottom of each of the side panels), which you can remove by hand or with pliers. This makes room for the water pipes. Still unsure about the situation? Just contact us via this contact form and do not forget to upload a photo of your radiator.

It certainly does. An additional mounting kit is required to mount the cover on a column radiator. You will automatically receive this with your order if you tell our configurator (step 1) that you have a column radiator.
When in doubt, we advise you to use a RAL colour fan (available at hardware stores and various home furnishing stores). Want to be certain about the colour? Then it is possible to order colour swatches on our website. These are steel plates of 10cm by 14cm, so you immediately see the quality of the Sentimo. Order your colour swatches here.

In short, Sentimo's radiator covers ensure optimal heat conduction, so there is no heat loss!
We advise you to clean the cover once in a while with a damp cloth. This prevents dust from settling in the coating. For more information about the maintenance of your radiator cover click here.
Our covers have removable cut-outs on both sides that you can break out where needed. It does not matter which side your radiator knob is mounted.

The Original radiator cover, like the Comfort, provides optimal heat distribution. The Original performs just as well and is guaranteed not to affect heat output. But are you looking for a bit more comfort and faster warmth in your home, or do you have an older house with poor insulation? Or perhaps you're using Low Temperature Heating (LTV), such as a heat pump? In that case, the Comfort is a great choice. This is because the fans help distribute the heat more evenly throughout the room.

Horizontal or vertical: every radiator deserves a beautiful look

The most well-known radiator is the horizontal variant. But there are also vertical radiators (which can be quite tall!). Whatever type of radiator you have, with us you can assemble the cover yourself by providing the correct dimensions. This includes the vertical variant as well!

The measurements we use in our configurator are the most common ones. Do your dimensions differ from the measurements accepted in our configurator? Then please use our request form displayed in the configurator. 

Why we chose metal and not another material, such as wood

Wood, MDF or metal after all? A radiator cover can be made from various materials. However, at Sentimo we chose only metal, and for good reason: metal is an excellent conductor of heat, has a sleek appearance, and is easy to install using magnets.

Moreover, it is low-maintenance. We provide tips to keep your cover looking beautiful.

How we determine the price of a radiator cover

We custom-make your radiator cover, so you'll only see the price after configuring it. The cost depends on the dimensions you enter and the options you choose. After completing the steps, you'll see an overview of your order with the corresponding price.

What about the accessories?

At Sentimo, it's possible to enhance your cover with accessories that make life just a little bit easier. Think, for example, of a towel holder, handy for use in the kitchen. How we consider children's safety

Radiators become quite hot, especially during the cold winter months. Particularly when connected to a central heating boiler. The temperature can sometimes rise to as high as 55 degrees Celsius.

Introducing Sentimo Safety, a cover designed for optimal heat output, without the exterior becoming warmer than 30 degrees Celsius. Ideal for daycare centers, preschools, or families with young children.

We make Sentimo Safety only upon request. Therefore, it is not available in our configurator.
