Possibilities of Sentimo

Curious about everything that is possible with our products? Here you will find all information.

Radiator cover

In some cases you can also conceal the pipes of the radiator with a Sentimo radiator cover. In most situations you can do this by including the pipes in your measurement of the length of the radiator. If this is not possible, you can use the break-out parts of the radiator cover (on the top and bottom of each of the side panels), which you can remove by hand or with pliers. This makes room for the water pipes. Still unsure about the situation? Just contact us via this contact form and do not forget to upload a photo of your radiator.

It certainly does. An additional mounting kit is required to mount the cover on a column radiator. You will automatically receive this with your order if you tell our configurator (step 1) that you have a column radiator.
Sentimo radiator covers are not intended for free-standing radiators. This is due to the fact that the radiator cover can not cover both sides of the radiator. The cover is inteded for radiators that are mounted against the wall.
When in doubt, we advise you to use a RAL colour fan (available at hardware stores and various home furnishing stores). Want to be certain about the colour? Then it is possible to order colour swatches on our website. These are steel plates of 10cm by 14cm, so you immediately see the quality of the Sentimo. Order your colour swatches here.

We offer a few of our colours in Fine Structure. This coating contains a fine grain and provides an extra matt finish. The standard colours have a silk gloss finish.

We can only supply our radiator covers in the colours offered on our website.

Some radiators have a normal knob that faces upwards. This puts the knob a little bit above the radiator. It is possible to cover this knob. You can do this by telling our configurator that you have a 'normal knob' that has an 'upwards' position and then follow the measuring instructions that are given. With this choice you will automatically receive a raiser package with your order. This package will raise the entire radiator cover a few centimeters so that it will fit perfectly over the knob. For more information about different situations with radiator knobs click here.

If the radiator knob is in front of the radiator, we unfortunately cannot cover it in most cases. This is because the radiator cover is attached directly to the radiator plate with magnets. If the knob sticks out in front of the radiator plate, the magnets can no longer make contact with the radiator plate. In this case, you can choose not to cover the knob and continue with the configuration or use the measurement service. If your radiator knob does not stick out more than 0.5 cm in front of the radiator, you can simply cover it by measuring it in length.

Because a thermostatic knob measures the temperature, it is not possible to cover it. If you do, the knob will lose its function. Especially for these sort of situations, all Sentimo covers have removable cut-outs that you can remove so your thermostatic knob can fit through it. For more information about different types of radiator knobs click here.

Keep in mind that the knob is no longer easy to operate once you hide it under the radiator cover. If you use the knob a lot, we recommend to not cover it.

In this video we explain to you what the possibilities are with different types of radiator knobs and how to measure. We cannot cover a thermostatic know, because it measures the temperature in the room. Do you have a normal knob? Then we can cover it in most cases. This depends on the position of the knob. In the configurator, you enter your measured dimensions. Once you have entered these, you will see what size your cover will be. You will see that we always make the depth a little smaller, because the cover needs to cover the radiator nicely but does not connect to the wall. We always make the height and length larger, so that the cover fits neatly around the radiator. Always check whether you can fit the final dimensions in the space you have.

It is possible that the measurements you took cannot (yet) be ordered on our website. Just fill in our quotation form and we will check what we can do for you and make a suitable offer.
Radiator cover 'The Original' usually does not connect to the wall. The depth measurements of the cover are based on the radiator dimensions. This means that the cover must always cover the radiator, but may hang a few centimeters away from the wall. This is due to the mounting brackets with which the radiator is attached to the wall. Radiator cover 'The Cabinet' does fully connect to the wall.
We do not recommend this. Our covers are powdercoated, creating a beautiful, even layer of lacquer. Experience shows that this result cannot be achieved with paint or varnish.
Our radiator covers take up as little space as possible, but of course we cannot prevent that a little space is needed around the radiator to be able to place the cover. To place the top grille of the cover, 2 cm is needed between the radiator and the window sill. Then it will fit perfectly!
Sentimo radiator covers are made of high-quality galvanised sheet steel. The cover is attached with magnets, so it sits tightly against the radiator and the steel conducts heat optimally. The grid at the top of the cover also allows warm air to rise. This convection heat is a very large part of the total heat output and is guaranteed not to be affected. In short, Sentimo's radiator covers ensure optimal heat conduction, so there is no heat loss!
In some cases the water channels of the radiator are deeper than 5mm. The magnets (5mm thick), which keep the cover connected to the radiator, can not make direct contact. Place the magnets on top of the water channels instead of in between, this will solve the tapping sound. See also the assembly instructions.
We advise you to clean the cover once in a while with a damp cloth. This prevents dust from settling in the coating. For more information about the maintenance of your radiator cover click here.
No, the radiator cover should cover the radiator but not touch the ground. This has to do with the heat circulation, which can no longer work optimally if the radiator cover touches the ground.
The Cabinet does touch the ground with its legs, but thanks to the open bottom, this will not lead to heat loss.
Our covers have removable cut-outs on both sides that you can break out where needed. It does not matter which side your radiator knob is mounted.
Yes, the radiator covers have standard removable cut-outs on both side panels: at the top for the radiator knob, and at the bottom for the pipes.

Our covers are also suitable for single plate radiators. The smallest depth we offer is 5,6 cm.
That is possible. You can make an appointment for the measuring service via videocall. For a small fee, one of our advisers will assist you during a videocall.

Airco cover

Ordering the right airco cover is a piece of cake with the configurator. In the configurator, you indicate how your airco unit is positioned so that you receive the right parts. The configurator also tells you exactly what to measure and gives you the best options for your measurements.

How the airco unit cover is mounted depends on the position of the air conditioning unit. It can be free-standing, hanging or on the floor against the wall. In all cases, assembling the airco unit cover is very easy. All parts are supplied as a kit. These parts are easy to slide together so you don't need screws and tools at all, except for attaching the legs.

The type of steel that the airco unit cover is made of is specifically intended for outdoor use. This type of steel is finished in a way that makes it resistant to corrosion (rust). It is also given a strong coat of powder coating in a colour of your choice. This provides the steel with an additional protective layer.

After rainfall, a small amount of water may remain on the top of the airco unit cover. This is perfectly normal and can do no harm! To remove the water, we recommend occasionally wiping the top of the airco unit cover with a cloth.

When you mount an airco unit cover on the wall, you can lift it off again quite easily by lifting it up and bringing it towards you. All covers come with a locking system as standard. You can fit this optionally if you wish. If you use the locking system, you will have to remove it first when dismantling for air conditioning maintenance, before you can remove the cover.

The airco unit cover comes in two flat packs. In the packaging, you will find instructions that will allow you to assemble the airco unit and mount it in just a few minutes.

The Sentimo airco unit cover is suitable for all types of A/C units. It is also suitable for high hanging, low-hanging/standing or free-standing air conditioners.

It is easy to keep the airco unit cover clean by occasionally wiping it with a cloth (with water). You can also clean the casing with non-caustic cleaning agents.

That is possible. You can make an appointment for the measuring service via videocall. For a small fee, one of our advisers will assist you during a videocall.
